Monkey Bread

Monkey bread is a delicious and easy camping breakfast that can be cooked in a Dutch oven over the campfire. Here’s a simple recipe that you can try:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Cut each biscuit into quarters and set aside.
  2. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Add the biscuit pieces to the bag, seal, and shake to coat.
  4. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
  5. Add the brown sugar and stir until melted.
  6. Add the biscuit pieces to the Dutch oven, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  7. Cover the Dutch oven with the lid and place it over the campfire.
  8. Cook for 25-30 minutes, rotating the Dutch oven occasionally, until the monkey bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Remove from the heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
